Privacy Policy

This page explains information handled by Dr. Masadeh’s Chemistry Corner (chemcorner.org). Visitors may be under 18, so please do not send sensitive personal information through the site.

Contact messages

If you submit the contact form, the site receives the name, email address, subject, and message you provide. The message is stored in the site’s private inbox so Dr. Masadeh can respond. A submission may be deleted by the site owner; the site does not currently display an automatic deletion schedule. If you separately check the publication consent box, an eligible contribution may be reviewed before any credited publication. Email addresses are not published.

Student access requests

If you request ChemHero student access, the site uses your ChatGPT account identity and email to link your request, and the form collects your name, school email, course, section, and approval status. Dr. Masadeh reviews access requests. The site does not receive your ChatGPT password. Signing in does not save course grades, practice scores, or bookmarks to a student account. Practice progress is stored in the current browser and can be cleared through that browser’s site-data settings.

Site analytics

When analytics are allowed, the site records public page visits and selected site interactions using random browser and session identifiers. Reports can include page path, event category, device type, broad traffic source, and approximate country, region, or city. The site analytics database does not store names, email addresses, IP addresses, answers, grades, or raw search phrases. Search reporting retains only recognized chemistry or course terms. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are respected. The site’s analytics records do not have a published automatic deletion schedule.

When the hosting environment does not supply an approximate location, the browser may request a coarse location from IPWho.is. That service receives the browser’s connection IP to return country, region, and city. Chemistry Corner stores only the coarse location result, not the IP address. Location estimates may be inaccurate.

ChemHero and third-party services

ChemHero prepares a tutoring prompt on this site; it does not provide a live embedded AI conversation and does not send a question to an AI service. Your question stays in the page until you choose to copy or paste it elsewhere. If you paste the prompt into ChatGPT, that use is governed by OpenAI’s separate terms and privacy practices. ChatGPT account sign-in is also provided by OpenAI.

How information is used

Information is used to respond to messages, review student access requests, operate site features, and understand aggregate site use. The site does not sell personal information. The site does not publish automatically generated material without administrator review and approval.

Children and families

Chemistry Corner is intended for high school and college learners, and visitors may be under 18. Younger visitors should avoid sharing private details and may ask a parent, guardian, or teacher for help before submitting information. If you believe a minor has shared information that should be removed, contact Dr. Masadeh using the link below.
